HOTEL EL CACIQUE is just what a weary traveler requires

3 minutes and $3 by taxi from the airport. Nothing fancy, but who needs fancy when the prices are so good for a room and a bed that are clean and comfortable. Johnny, the fellow who single-handedly runs and operates this place, is personable, speaks fluent English as well as his native Spanish, and will help you to meet your needs.And in the morning when you have to catch that shuttle at Denny’s, it is 200 meters up the road, or a quick taxi ride back to the airport. Hotel El Cacique has become my Alajuela go-to spot!

We are the most affordable place to stay by SJO international Airport, We are just half a KM East from arrivals and departures, next to the Coffee Bean park and stone monument. Bus and train stop near by as well as rental cars, private shuttles etc.
Wi fi is available to our guests whom are allowed to use a kitchennete to make coffee and toast. Hummingbirds can be seen around, most rooms have their own private bathroom with a hot water shower, sink and toilet, and yes, we provide all the essentials.
